Description
Muthoot Mercantile Limited is looking for an experienced Database Administrator (DBA) to manage, maintain, and optimise the organisation's databases. The candidate will be responsible for database performance, security, backup and recovery, troubleshooting, and ensuring data availability and integrity. The role also involves database monitoring, access management, and coordination with the IT and application development teams to ensure reliable database operations. Experience: 3–5 Years
Skills
• Strong knowledge of database administration, preferably Microsoft SQL Server • Experience in database installation, configuration, maintenance, and upgrades • Proficiency in SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and performance tuning • Experience in database backup, restoration, and disaster recovery • Knowledge of database security, user access management, and permissions • Experience in database monitoring, troubleshooting, and query optimisation • Understanding of high availability, replication, and database recovery mechanisms • Knowledge of database migration and capacity planning • Familiarity with cloud databases and Microsoft Azure SQL services is an added advantage • Ability to identify and resolve database performance and connectivity issues • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills • Ability to coordinate with application developers, system administrators, and other IT teams
